Welcome to the Nietfeldt Clan
The Nietfeldt family traces its heritage to the Merovingian dynasty—descending from King Clovis I’s son, Clodéric—who settled in Saxony around 507 AD. Over centuries, “Clodéring” became “Nîchtenvelt” and then “Nietfeldt,” a name signifying “newly cultivated field.”
From medieval Saxon knights who bore lion-headed crests to 19th-century emigrants carving new lives in America, the Nietfeldt lineage has always preserved a legacy of courage, resilience, and innovation. Today, descendants honor that tradition in fields as diverse as golf, digital marketing, and scientific research.
